Andrea Barzagli started his senior Italian club career with Rondinella Firenze in the 1998 season. After three years, his talents as a strong defender lead him to Ascoli, Chievo, and finally to his current team in 2004, Palermo. In the 2006 World Cup, Andrea Barzagli found himself starting in the quarterfinal match against the Ukraine in which Italy won 3 – 0. Besides being able to boast a World Cup title, Barzagli also has a Bronze medal from the 2004 Olympic games.
