Pursued by Milan, Kakka Kaladze arrived in January 2001 and for three years has been one of the mainstays of Milan's defense. His career began in Georgia, his country's top Championship: in 1993 Kaladze made his first appearance in Series A with Dinamo Tbilisi. In five years he clocked up 82 appearances and in January 1998 he went over to Dimano Kiev, one of the most cited European known teams.

His international performances did not go unnoticed and Milan summoned him during the 2000/2001 season to strengthen the outer ranks of their defense. He can boast 74 appearances and 7 goals in the Italian Serie A and, along with the red-black line-up, he has won a League Championship and a Championship shield.
