In 2006, the Navy Women’s Soccer Team enjoyed the most successful season in women’s Midshipmen history. The Midshipmen earned their second NCAA Tournament birth in the last four years with a school-record 21 wins. After beating No. 9 nationally raked Penn State, the Midshipmen concluded the season ranked No. 19 after advancing to the 2nd round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer tournament. The Midshipmen are lead by Carin Gabarra, a legend in her own right. Holding every single scoring record at her alma mater, Santa Barbara University, Carin has had a profound impact on the women’s game of soccer both as a player and coach.
