By 1992 this walker had already won a silver medal in the Junior category of the World Championships. Her career has not been solely limited to walking, in fact between 1988 and 1992 she presented for the Butterfly and the individual medal at the Australian Swimming Championships. Nonetheless, date did not smile favorably upon Jane during the Sydney Olympic Games, when, in front of a home crowd, she was disqualified in the final 200 meters of the race in which she was coming first. At the World Championships in 2003 she succeeded in gaining an excellent 11th place.
